Richard and Eliza Stone letters, 1850, 1862.

Two family letters from Richard Stone and his wife Eliza Sephurd Stone. The first (Dec. 31, 1850) is from Fondulac, Wisconsin, to Eliza's parents in England, describing their steamer crossing of the Great Lakes, farm, crops, birth of a daughter, and plans to move to Winnebago County. The second (April 3, 1862), from Neenah, Wisconsin, to Richard's brother, discusses their farm, nearness of the railroad, and the Civil War.
